Peaceful in the city-centre - Alba Guesthouse

Peaceful in the city-centre

At Alba Guesthouse, the door has been open for guests since 2004 and they celebrate their 10th anniversary this year. Icelandic tourism has changed considerably during those 10 years, but the owners of Alba, husband and wife Þorsteinn and Harpa, understand what guests visiting Iceland wish for on their holiday. The diversity in rooms – double, twin, triple and family rooms makes it easy to meet any requirements.

Location, location, location
Alba Guesthouse is situated in the middle of the city-centre, in a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood, close to some of Reykjavik’s main sites like Hallgrimskirkja, Perlan and Kjarvalsstaðir Art Museum. In ten minutes one can walk to the downtown shopping area, visit some of the best restaurants in town, or, one can walk ten-fifteen minutes towards the sea and relax on the Nauthólsvík Geothermal Beach. It is possible to take a swim in the lagoon all year, enjoy the hot water in the hot tub at the beach or sunbath on the white sand beach on a warm summer day! (It sometimes happens in Iceland).

It can take a great deal of energy to experience Iceland’s treasures! But Þorsteinn and his staff will make sure you get the optimum start to the day and offer all guests a buffet breakfast every morning. A peaceful home base makes it easy to fully enjoy an Icelandic adventure, and Alba Guesthouse provides you with just that.
